Brittany Anne Murphy was born on November 10th 1977 with the gift of entertainment. She describes entertainment as being an inner need since yearly childhood.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Brittany grew up in New Jersey after moving with her mother when her parents were divorced. There she discovered local theater, appearing in two plays by the age of 9.

and her big break came soon after with the role of Tai in hit movie "Clueless", starring Alicia Silverstone.
Always a lover of dancing and singing, the multitalented Brittany also gave music a try. In the early 90's she was the lead singer for the girl band "Blessed Soul", but she soon came back to acting after a storm of hits.
She landed supporting roles in the critically acclaimed "Drop Dread Gorgeous", "Girl, Interrupted" and "Don't Say A Word", to later add on a series of chick films which gained her a strong fanbase.
Her girly titles include "Riding Cars With Boys", "Summer Catch", "Sidewalks of New York", the romantic comedy "Just Married" starring her then boyfriend Ashton Kutcher, "Uptown Girls" and "The Little Black Book". Most recently
she appeared in "Sin City", to which she recently filmed the sequel that is due to release in 2006, making it a busy year for the young star who is working on several other projects.
